Picture an all white French vanilla icecream bar fresh from the freezer. Now imagine it being dipped in warm melty white chocolate, then milk chocolate then milk chocolate again and finally a thick coating of crushed almonds!

DELICIOUS YUM YUM GOOD!

I was standing in line with my beautiful gf while she bought some mint chocolate icecream when I saw people ordering this interesting treat. For under 5 bux, I decided to get one as well. The lady pulled an all white bar from the freezer and dipped it in warm white chocolate. She waited for it to cool down and harden, then dipped the bar in milk chocolate and waited for that to harden too. She repeated the process for the last layer of milk chocolate.

While the last dip of chocolate finished dripping, she quickly layed it on a mountain of crushed almonds and started to bury it.

The end result is what you see in this here image. It's a lil messy if you eat slow because as the inside melts, you can't lick it as it drips since it is melting on the inside of the thick yummy layers. Regardless, best icecream bar evar!

Long long ago when I was a child, I remember my mother would give me these mints as a treat. When I went to her work place, her boss would pull out an extra long box from the bottom drawer. I think it may have been locked too, but she would unlock it for me. The extra long box was filled with these delicious mints!

I normally only got a few from my mother but anytime this box was presented to me, I was allowed to grab handfuls!

A long while back, they stopped ordering these delicious mints. I was under the assumption that it was a special order for the company. Not finding them anywhere backed my assumption up.....till now!

I was amazed and very excited to find a box at Winners. Actually, I was a little disappointed because there was only a single box. Regardless, I bought the box and had enjoyed them with my childhood memories.

I figure I should add some posts other than tech for you non techies. Plus, you may remember these mints too!

Remember the old Moto RAZR? Everyone had one, everywhere you went. Well it's back! Much better than before and highly impressive.

I wouldn't mind owning this device because it has KEVLAR! Yes, the stuff in bullet proof vests. Do you remember Corning Wear? My mother had a bunch of glass cook wear by them. Now that I think of it, it's one of the only glass things in my kitchen that didn't break after 20 years.

Makes sense as to why Corning made the Gorilla glass on the front of this beast.

This is what I remember when I was young. Now it's in phones. Actually, it has been for a while, I just didn't realize.

I am currently use CIBC as my primary bank. I must say, they are full of fees and overall disappointing. I finally decided to check out Ing Direct and so far I am impressed. All the fees CIBC charged me will not happen with Ing Direct. I will think about it more before I make the switch, thought I would share first.

Latest iPhone sells 4 Million

One of the reasons I didn't upgrade to the 4S was due to the lack of wowness. I let the hype get to me too much.

I spoke to some friends and co-workers to hear their thoughts. They are with me as well and will not upgrade. I only know one friend who upgraded and enjoys his new 4S.

I searched some forums for more input from others on Apple's latest creation to find they too were mostly in agreement.

The resent sales numbers of Apple selling more 4S devices in the first 24 hours than the 4 did are impressive. This last update of sales numbers proves me horribly wrong.

I thought this new iPhone wouldn't do so well.

I was thinking I should leave a better post than my Welcome Back before I sleep. I shall leave you with this image. If all goes well, this may be my next phone.

I usually rant about how every phone other than the iPhone is garbage. This includes Android. It was a terrible phone to use when I had it. I am hoping this will be an exception since it has been a while since I've used Android.

What makes me optimistic for Google's OS is the soon to be announced ICS (Ice Cream Sandwhich). This will be the latest operating system from Google.

It's supposed to be the best of Honeycomb which runs on the latest Android tablets and Gingerbread which runs on the latest Android phones.

If all goes well, then I may just be able to buy this phone to replace my iPhone. There are many obstacles that I must over come before purchasing. Some of these include price, the AWS band (what Mobilicity and Wind uses) and my exisiting iPhone contract.

There are a few more but I can't think of them right now as I should be sleeping now.

Wish me luck! I'm pretty excited!

Today I have another pair of headphones to picture un-box. Once I get time to use them, I will post a review.

These are the Zagg Smart Buds with in-line Phone and Music Control. The mic has a noise cancelling condenser and the wire is coated with Invisible Shield. This package comes with silicon and memory foam tips plus a carrying case that you will see below.

This last picture is hard to make out. The top bar is the answer/end button which is also the pause/play button. The bottom bar is the volume slider, it's strange to me. This slider actually slides up and down, it doesn't roll or can be pressed like I'm used to.

Precisely sliding the bar to get the right right level of volume is choppy. It doesn't slide smoothly enough but it's also not horrible.

In the above picture you can see a small ball, there are actually 3 of them. They are used to section off the buds so a hole is created where you insert your head. The buds will now hang off your neck kind of like wearing a necklace. This is great if you wear your buds for over 30 mins and remove one or both buds during that time. When in this "mode" if a bud or buds is removed, they hang instead of falling to the ground.

I personally find it useful since I don't have to worry about finding my earbud on the ground or even stepping on them by mistake. They always have a place on my neck.

Actually, depending on your workplace and activities, you can just leave these on you the whole day. Easily accessible, reminds me of my Nike Manny Pacquiao Hoodie. It has a hole in the inside pocket where you thread your earbuds. Theres a loop on the neck where you thread the earbuds again. This allows the buds to always be at your neck when you need them. With this setup, the majority of the cord is hidden.

My girlfriend's Tours finally arrived! They didn't take that long, approx 2 weeks. I had no time to do a proper unboxing because I woke up late and walked in the wrong direction to the post office.

I apologize for the poor quality of the images in advance. Oh, ya, this is a super quick photo unboxing!

Quick review:
The earbud build in general is worth the money. I think I paid $23.00. Overall they're not worth it, I think this is just my pair though, the reviews said great things! I say this because when you move the gold plated L jack, you hear static and sometimes the audio cuts out.

The audio is good, it's worth the price, look and name of the beats.

That's it for my quick review, I may or may not update.

Hey! I'm updating!
I had a chance to use the buds for about 10 mins. The Control Talk works well. I can pause, forward, increase/decrease volume no problem. On the Palm Pre, not all functions work. All ok for my iPhone 4.

Out of all the many earbuds I have had, these at full volume vibrate my ears! It's too loud at that level so I dont't get to experience constant brain earthquakes. The audio issues when turning the jack arn't as bad as I thought. If you play with the jack and twist it a lot then you will have issues. (I hope this is just my pair and not the rest.) If your like everyone else who is normal, then you leave your device alone in a pocket, purse, on a table or even use the device instead of messing with the jack. With that said, you'll be fine. I managed to walk 2 blocks with no audio issues, my iPhone was in my sweater pocket during the walk.

Audio quality for audiophiles with all black everything all black American Express Cards will hate these buds. For someone like me with a limited budget or someone who can't tell HD from SD broadcasts then these will do! OK, the SD and HD TV comparison was bad but you get the idea. Oh and I normally want something that sounds better but for the price, look, name, tangle free cable, bass, comfort and fit of the buds, this is well worth it. Time will tell if the build will hold up as well.

If I didn't have a white pair sans Control Talk on the way, I would get these for sure.

I don't jailbreak or restore a lot so I too have to trial and error this process. If your device is anything like mine, then your usually managing your 16GB of space. My iPhone has too many apps, games, customizations etc. The device if unmanaged can be slow and uncooperative. (tolerable considering how hard I push the device past what Apple wants.)

I was in the middle of installing a custom 4.3.1 when iTunes asked to restore from new or from backup. The guide I was following didn't tell me what to do so I chose the latest backup file.

Of course non of the jailbroken apps installed because I didn't jailbreak my phone! So now I have only my free apps installed. I really don't feel like remembering my current lineup vs my iTunes apps library. Instead, I have just completed another install of the custom 4.3.1. I will now follow the guide and not stray!

After the guide, I'll restore from new so only the apps I had will be reinstalled.

Jailbreak successful! The jailbreaking part thanks to this guide was actually really easy. Not coming from a tech perspective but from the average user. I have used Windows and Mac to jailbreak (not a lot sadly), slide to jailbreak, greenpo1son and maybe 2 others.

The easiest being slide to jailbreak and this method which is linked above. The other times I failed and failed miserably. I wasted many hours and at one point even gave up!

The step that usually gets me is DFU! It feels like the experience across the JB's is inconsistant even though the steps are the same. This time around I was real sloppy with the process. I thought I would definitely have to retry. For some reason, even though I was a few seconds off here and there, I actually survived on my first try! It seemed like the iPhone wanted to be jailbroken it was so simple.

Now back to my jailbreaking hardships. The common denominator of my toughest jailbreaking times is the iPod touch 3rd Gen!!!! ahhhhhhhhh

My Macbook Pro has a built in webcam like most laptops. I don't really use it since I have a camera on the front and back of my iPhone 4 (FaceTime). I was able to Skype on my iPhone when I was at the laundry mat with my (at the time 1 year old) god daughter.

With the introduction of Gmail Motion, I finally have a use for my laptop webcam!!! If for some reason I must compose an email via my Macbook, I can do so with gestures that are detected by the camera!

My old apartment and my Ghetto sink

Most of the people who know me remember my old centipede infested apartment. My sink was really tiny, REALLY TINY. It was very difficult to wash a standard sized plate. Even if the sink was larger, there was a semi enclosed pipe running the length of the apartment. Unfortunately it was over top the sink area so you had to watch for centipedes so they didn't fall on your head.

The last time we put dishes in the sink, we left some water in and got too lazy to clean it out. When it was time to move, we had to clean it out. The water was probably left in there for a month and most of it had evaporated.

As per usual, the sink water became infested with dead centipedes! So I did the dishes here!

Good day little girls. Today I shall share with you a theme that I've been rocking for a few months now. I usually stay away from themes because not all the icons are themed or too many are themed. This is probably the 3rd theme I've tried since the 3GS.

If you get a theme that only covers a portion of your icons, then your other ones look out of place. If you get a theme with many icons, your phone is full of unused icons that take up resources. This package is great because the look of the icons is simple. The only thing it does is adds a boarder around them, simple but effective. This eliminates the need to make thousands of custom icons.

This is the name of the theme.

Broken Werk Carpet

I shall share with you the time line of a broken carpet.

Here he is all broken and such. Without the tape he tried to reach out and grab your big toe. He wants you to trip into the wall he is near. Notty carpet! Someone taped him down so he wouldn't grab anybody's toes anymore.

Since the tape job was so poor and ghetto, one of the tapes made breaks and notty carpet was at it again!

Little did notty carpet know, someone noticed the poor tape job and called in a professional to fix the job!

Ta-Da! No more notty carpet!

Animated Lock Screen Theme

I usually get bored of any phone I have so I'm always looking for new add-ons/ ways to keep me entertained. Out of all my phones, my iPhone has definitely been able to keep me awake.
Here is another LS theme I found. He is called A UINique HD Anim LS. You can have a unique look and still have your own wallpaper too. Parts of the theme come together from the sides to complete the final lock screen.

Look for this in Cydia. You can buy or download for free, I would say if you enjoy it enough, buy the theme.

Here is a very nice theme for your lock screen. You can buy it from Cydia I believe or try it by adding the Modmyi repo.

Here you have the lock screen with one of my fav cars, the Nissan GT-R.

This image is the same lock screen but with a night time city shot.

Finally the last image is of another of my favorite cars that's all white to go with the font of the lock screen. This is the Lexus LFA.

I've only played a few missions and so far so good.

For me, I find some of the buttons to be in the way, usually fire/ shoot. I find when I'm panning around I tap fire/ shoot once in a while.

Other than that the game is pretty good.

A definite plus is they let you connect to other players in every way possible. You can connect via Bluetooth, wifi and your providers data connection.

You can even play co-op! Most games don't have co-op or even a good way to connect with each other.

In the office we don't have wifi so I can't connect to the other iOS devices. This game let's you do so with BT. Very handy when wifi is not available.

I like bumpers for some reason.... maybe because they offer protection and a bit of style without bulking up your device. So far since my 3GS I haven't cracked anything, that's with minimal protection and always keeping it in my back pocket.

I even sit on it with no trouble, hard surfaces do nothing to the device. I say that cuz I've hear a few people say the iPhone screen is fragile. I guess I can see that if you toss grenades on it on the regular.

I like these ones because they are clear in certain places. Your able to see the stainless steel band and still have some color with protection.

Shopping Cart Rental

We've all seen shopping carts that make you pay a quarter to use the cart. You insert the quarter and pull the chain that connects it to the other carts.

When your done, you reinsert the chain from the carts that are still connected. You now have your quarter back.....

If your my super talented and amazing girlfriend then all you do is insert the carts own chain into itself and you have your quarter back.

This is useful if you want to leave your cart at a more convenient place or happen to find a cart with a quarter in it. It's really more about the challenge of extracting the quarter outside the traditional method.

I tried and failed, I used strength instead of my brain. She was able to arrange the chain in a way that was faster and easier than my way (which didn't work)

Boomphones (FINALLY)

I found these on a guy dancing while waiting for the street car. It was night time so of course it was dark, I didnt notice him because of his dancing, but because his headphones had white halos on each side!

In a dark area, foreign lighting easily catches the eye. As soon as this happened, I wanted to know what headphones these were, they looked so beautiful!

After many months and seeing this guy 2 more times, I finally saw the tiny name on them. Actually my girlfriend did the detective work and snuck a peek for me!

They are BoomPhones! I think these might be on par with quality in comparison to Studios by Dre. As for price and style, I would say the price is better for I've seen them being sold for as low as $139.00 (reg 199). The style is kinda up to you, I say they look better than the black Studios but even with the white Studios. The general style is like any other headphone.... The reason I like these (haven't tested them) is because the unique lights on the headphones that make them stick out in a new way. They remind me of Halos on a Bimmer.

I sometimes store a tiny portable speaker in my laptop bag, very small you can actually key chain it to a bag of sorts. The sound is amazing and loud but that's for another post. The point is, I wouldn't need to anymore with these headphones because they have dual external speakers rather than my mono speaker!

Easily share your music anytime or just use them as living rooms speakers (unless you live in a large house or mansion).

Ok, I guess after posting the images and writing about the look, I will have to change my mind. I didn't really know why but I do now. I always see these in low lighting since the person I see them on is the same person and at night.

So I usually see the great light and only focus on that. I like the look of the Studios in any color over these, however these really pop in lower lighting, if they are equal in sound quality, I would buy these. Upgrade! Katana Umbrella

After my old umbrella almost blew up in the rain, I decided to get a cheap $5 one from China Town. I had looked through a few shops and many umbrellas with no luck. I was passing the anime store when I decided to turn around and enter the shop. Here is what I bought!

The price was 29.00 plus tax, came to about 30.00. So far it is way better in build than my blue one. It opens real smooth and doesn't blow up when there is little wind. It feels far more sturdier. To me is feels like it is as tall as me tee hee hee.

There was a little bit of chipping on the handle and a small gap where there shouldn't be, other than that no complaints.

It does come with a holster device that lets you carry it on a sholder or across your back.

They even offer a shorter version which I may pick up as well.

Blackberry! BBM for Android and iPhone

You have a Blackberry and you listen to music, there is a 90% chance you also own an iPod. That's fun right? Carrying 2 devices, switching back and forth, iPod on the Backberry then the BB on the iPod. I don't know what that's like. It certainly looks fun. What's that? Oh yes, I've heard of BBM. Speaking of which, BB is working on bringing BBM to Android first then iOS.

Soon you can buy an iPhone and use BBM on it. Of course there are many reasons (good ones too) in owning a BB, I know since I used to have the 8330 but there you go. There is now less of an excuse for buying a BB who is Canadian but supports the USA by offering some new BBs to them before us.

I like the onion rings cuz they taste a lil better than normal Doritos. I would also choose them to be destroyed forever. They don't taste like ketchup or onion rings.

As for buffalo wings n'ranch, they're ok. The burger one is way better, it actually tastes like a burger! I would choose the wings to live since it tastes different.

Either way, I wouldn't miss them.

This will be familiar to those who have read my previous Android posts.

I love how people are so into Android and think they are buying the latest and greatest or perhaps they are lead into thinking that. For example when I was shopping around for my iPhone 4 last year, I was actually warned not to buy Apple and to go with the Samsung Galaxy S. This happened about 3 times at different places, different stores. I was told the iPhone 4 was not as good as the Galaxy S and the iPhone would just drop calls. When I did buy my iPhone 4, there was no shortage on the "better" Galaxy S. No one even really talks about or uses the Galaxy S. I usually just see iPhones and Blackberry's.

I know more people with the iPhone than the Galaxy S, none of us had/ have dropped calls or antenna issues that you should stay away from. A simple testing of the iPhone in store would show you rather than listening to stupid people. I would even try to start a debate with these people only for them to come up with half answers or nothing solid.

Now on to the familiar part. Recently my good friend Pohdins purchased an HTC desire. In an sms to me from him he said he bought a new HTC Desire but did not open it yet. The key word here is new. The definition in this case is latest not unused.

I quickly supported him in his decision to return this new (in reality ancient) device. I did this with some facts and not by some random bs I always hear from Android users and sellers of these devices.

I shall present to you my facts:
HTC Desire (Pohdin's unopened device): Desire

HTC Desire HD: Desire HD
HTC Desire 2: Desire 2

Keep in mind the Desire has probably only been out for 5 months.

On the brighter side, I'm not a full hater of Android if you will. I REALLY want the Moto Atrix! For me it seems so practical. I want something lighter than my 15" Macbook Pro, something more portable but with a larger screen than a smartphone. The Atrix seems to be just the device I need.... The problem is I hate saving my money and investing it into something that will be old a 3 months. This will happen to the Atrix.

I had no idea this was in effect for Android devices. I was an unhappy Telus user with the way they controlled my LG Chocolate. Imagine a slick black outer shell with red accents, now imagine it with a buggy Telus interface that is green and purple. Not appealing after paying so much for the device, more than an iPhone!

This article in the link shows you how to hack your Android so you can install apps that your wireless carrier has blocked. I would hate if Apple let Fido do this.

I love the idea of this combo if I understand it correctly. Pretty much anything Android related cannot keep my attention so I didn't finish reading up on the Atrix. The reason for my Android A.D.D. is if I get excited about or decide to invest in an Android smartphone, my money is wasted because in 4 months an updated model is out. In less time another line of Android is updated, maybe by many other manufactureres so really im obsolete by 10.

Regardless of that, the Moto Atrix has peaked my interest. Imagine buying 1 device and 1 accessory, now you have a smartphone, netbook and kind of a tablet.

That's if I understand the Atrix, I stopped reading since it's pointless. The Atrix Pro, Atrix 2, Atrix Platinum etc will be out shortly anyways.

If a more reliable company, oh hi Apple were to come out with something like this, I'd prolly hop on board. At least with Apple products, older ones are still desired and resale value is high.

So far I've heard it will have a 4 inch screen instead of the current 3.5 inch. I've also heard the lcd will go edge to edge making it look better and physically smaller than traditional 4 inchers.

The only other thing I've heard is it may contain an NFC chip. Just like my MasterCard at Tims, I can tap my device to the pad and payment is made.

Hopefully it will finally come in white!

I've made 2 iPhone stands, one from the interwebs and one I think I made up!

For the foam cup stand, I don't really have much to say since I made it up as I went. It works good and is highly customizable since you just have to cut away! You may want to tape off the parts where your device will make contact with the cup to eliminate unwanted noice....

Next up is the internet/ gift card design. The website I saw gave specific instructions that I didn't like. So I used them as a guide and through some trial and error, this is what I have ended up with so far.

I made one for my workstation neighbor!

I like using the Wal-Mart hockey ones because they have lines that I can use as bend points. Any card will do though.

Once these bends are made, they can be "molded" to the right angle by massaging them in. Other parts like the bottom here can be taped to the desired viewing angle. Since I eyeballed everything, mine was a little wobbly, you can see I tried to fix that with Stride gum paper.

Since I started with my iPhone 3GS, I've had no carrier interference at all, the handset (including my iPhone 4) isn't even branded. No crappy Rogers choppy boot up screen.

I found an interesting tool from one of my fav weird sites called ThinkGeek. You can inhale Chocolate and Coffee which tastes just like eating it with no calories! I wouldn't mind trying it since my coffee usually has 3 sugar and 3 cream from spots like Tim Hortons. I thought I was done with this.... I guess the subject will live till I actually buy a pair. I went to Sears to pickup a good pair, the size they had left during the winter clearance (before Christmas) was just a little too big, but not bad. I decided to wait till more stock came in for the perfect size since I would be spending over $40.00.

It is now pretty much February and the 2 Sears I have access to still have not restocked on this exact glove. The Eaton Center specifically hasn't restocked at all. The salesman showed me what was roughly 5 pairs of gloves that were thrown onto a rack. Very disgusting for such a large store, I couldn't believe it.

Today my prayers have been answered! Never did I think my discount website store that I heart would carry just what I need over Sears.

Anyways, the gloves DX have are nothing amazing. They are actually just modified versions of what I currently use as temp gloves. The gloves I use now are the cheap dollar store stretchy ones. They are thin enough that if you press hard enough, my iPhone will respond to my touch. On super cold days I need to keep my hands in my pockets but for the most part, the weather hasn't been that cold and I'm usually indoors ie: mall, work, home etc.

The thumb and index fingers seem to sewn out of conductive thread. These are the only "2 fingers" that will respond well to touch. As I was looking for the image link, I realized a potential issue for some users, only 1 glove has the special thread. This is good for quick tasks but I was assuming both hands would be usable. Perhaps 2 orders will need to be made.

I have tried many portable speakers over the years, I actually have 2 I'm thinking of reviewing sometime.... I came across these and they look amazing. I've only heard of the company via it's mice and haven't heard many complaints so I'm assuming these probably sound good.

I thought they would be outrageuos in price since this company seems to make high quality products that are slightly over priced in my opinion. I have not tested any of their products so I can't say for sure what these are like but they look good, the price is suprisingly lower than I expected and on par for this type of speaker.

I would love to test them as I have a tiny portable speaker that I think sounds very loud and clear.

"They" say the iPhone 5 will have an NFC chip! Near Field Communications is in the new Nexus S by Google/ Samsung. It allows you to pass your device near another NFC chip for special features. If I'm correct, instead of scanning a QR code, you could just be near the QR code and you would be able to see what is hidden.

So far I'm really liking this company. I first started using the Nettalk app on my iPhone. It lets me make free calls to Canada and the USA, doesn't matter if it's to a cell or to a landline. The quality is managable and for about 80% of my calls I can use Nettalk. The 20% I have to use my cellular network to make the call. This is pretty good to me since the service and app is completely free.

I am now here to present Nettalk Duo!

This device (from the little I've read) is like the Magic Jack but easier and better. I tried installing the Magic Jack last year on a friend's PC, for some reason I could not get it to work!

The reviews of this product from Wal-mart are pretty good. One reviewer said you can connect this to your router so you won't have to install software!

I hope this actually works great and may buy one or two. It's more expensive than Magic Jack but if it works it should be worth it.

I can't wait till they come out with the TV device that will let you pick your own channels!
